Policies on Conflict of Interest
University policy must comply with State and Federal external requirements. The University has chosen to apply the standards of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) regulations and National Science Foundation (NSF) policy to all sponsored research regardless of sponsor. To do otherwise would present serious logistical problems as well as create an inappropriate double standard for research agreements.
- Public Health Service (PHS) regulations, which apply
to PHS-sponsored research (PHS subsumes the National Institute
of Health, the Center for Disease Control, and other federal
health agencies)
